In the meantime, Mahid observes the servants preparing food leftovers. They compliment the flavor of the kheer and do not want it to go to waste. Mahid is reluctant, but eventually, he tries it and is shocked by its distinct taste. Mahid is shocked when the servant informs him that Seher made the kheer.

The servant describes that the milk was rotting and would soon be wasted, but Seher was clever enough to offer to make paneer out of it. Seher, however, multiplied the paneer kheer as quickly as possible, despite the ridicule of her sister Nazima, to save the family’s face before the guests. Mahid understands that Seher was only doing it in honor of his family. Nevertheless, he is still ambivalent in his thoughts—so why then was the donation tampered with so much?
